A full stat sheet
Veritas captures badminton sessions cleanly and measures what matters. Here is how.
Capture
Setup done right
Every measurement depends on the camera position. The app checks the geometry before you record and tells you what to fix if it isn't right.
- Automatic court detection
- A segmentation model finds the court in about two seconds. No calibration cards or manual measuring needed. You can tap the corners yourself if it misses.
- Framing assist that keeps watching
- The app continuously checks if the court stays in frame. If someone bumps the tripod, it detects the shift and adjusts its reference points.
- Locked capture settings
- 1080p at 60fps, ultra-wide, stabilisation off, exposure and focus locked. Stabilisation warps the image, which breaks the geometric measurements it relies on.
- Session types before you start
- Mark a recording as 1v1, 1v2, 1v3, drills, or a match so the analysis knows what to look for.
- Resumable uploads
- Large recordings upload in chunks. If you close the app, lose signal, or leave the hall, uploads continue in the background from where they stopped.
Stat sheet
Numbers instead of highlights
You get a quick glanceable stat sheet instead of footage to watch.
- Nine shot types classified
- Serve, smash, drop, lift, drive, block, push, toss, and net shot, with counts and classifier confidence for each.
- Shot speed in km/h
- You also get apex height, net clearance, and landing position.
- Rally structure
- Total rallies, average length in shots, longest rally, and average duration.
- Court coverage heatmap
- A top-down map shows where the player spent the session on the court. Often reveals gaps between where they think they play and where they actually do.
- Capture quality details
- Shuttle detection rate, average shot confidence, and frames analysed. If a session was recorded poorly, Veritas says so.

For academies
Built for coaches as the number one priority
Coaches don't have the time to give direct attention to every player, in every session. Veritas is here to help with that.
- Player profiles and invites
- Create profiles for your squad, record on a player's behalf, and send single-use invite links for players to claim their own accounts.
- Coach's notes on a session
- Add the key thing you want the player to remember, right next to the numbers that prompted it.
- Simple sign-in
- Google login or phone number plus SMS code. No passwords for a group of juniors to manage.
- Solo players welcome
- You don't need an academy. Record your own sessions and get the same analysis.

Over time
Tracking progress across sessions
Multiple sessions reveal how a player's game is changing.
- Veritas Score
- A single number per player that shows progress at a glance.
- Session summary in plain English
- The key finding from each stat sheet written as a sentence, the thing you would have noticed if you had watched the whole session.
- Week-over-week trends
- Service success rate, average rally length, most-played shot, and current streak length, updated automatically.
- Highlights on demand
- Pull every smash from a session or every rally over ten shots without scrubbing through footage.
- Improvement tracking
- Compare trends across similar sessions to separate real improvement from a good day.
